WHY HEALTH

Health is not just the absence of disease — it is a fundamental human right and the foundation for a dignified life. Yet in India, millions are denied this basic right. According to the Global Hunger Index 2023, India ranks 111th out of 125 countries, reflecting widespread undernutrition and poor healthcare access.

Nearly 190 million people in India are undernourished. As per UNICEF, around 35% of Indian children under five suffer from stunted growth due to chronic malnutrition. Every year, nearly 8 lakh children die from preventable diseases, most of which are rooted in poor nutrition, lack of clean water, and inadequate healthcare.

Access to affordable healthcare remains a distant dream for many. Over 63 million Indians are pushed into poverty every year due to catastrophic health expenses. Rural areas, in particular, face a dire shortage of doctors and facilities, leaving vast populations untreated and vulnerable.

At Astitva Foundation, we believe health is not a privilege — it is a priority. Promoting health awareness, conducting medical camps, and distributing hygiene kits are small steps toward a healthier, stronger India. Because when we invest in health, we invest in hope, productivity, and a better future for all.

WHAT WE DO

At Astitva Foundation, we recognize that good health is the cornerstone of a dignified life. Through our "Health" campaign, we have taken proactive measures to address pressing health concerns among underprivileged communities. We conduct regular food donation drives to ensure hygienic and nutritious meals reach those who need them most — because nourishment is the first step to wellness.

We also organize menstrual health awareness drives aimed at educating young girls and women about hygiene, safe practices, and breaking the stigma around menstruation. Empowering them with knowledge fosters both dignity and confidence.

In critical medical emergencies, we step up by connecting blood donors with patients in need. Our network helps bridge the gap between demand and availability, saving lives when it matters most.

We organize yoga drives to promote physical well-being, mental clarity, and inner peace. These sessions help individuals embrace a healthier lifestyle through the ancient wisdom of yoga.
